At Blue Bay we love to celebrate personal growth and achievement. So we were delighted when one of our participants, Raymond, wanted to share the artworks he has been creating.
Raymond creates stunning Aboriginal dot paintings using a skewer technique taught by an elder—sometimes spending months on each piece.
We think they are amazing artworks, and thank Raymond for sharing them with our community.
In Raymond’s words:
“Hi There. This is Raymond Cox. I would love to share my Aboriginal artwork with everyone out there.
[They are] mostly all done with a skewer, not a paintbrush.
I was taught this when I was a lot younger.
Not all my paintings are dot ones.
Some are done really close together, even the background is done with a skewer.
Signed by Raymond Cox.”
We’re proud to support Raymond’s artistic journey—shout-out to Ashlea, his Support Coordinator, for championing his work and helping it reach a wider audience.
